Happy Valentines Day!

Friday, February 11, 2011

This week is Congenital Heart Awareness Week. The support group I belong to were able to get over 500 cupcakes from Pillsbury donated. All we needed was someone to frost them and decorate them and pass them out...that's where I came in. As of today I have frosted and decorated over 550. I have 100 more to do tomorrow and then start the orders for Valentines Day.
This is why I do it.....for little peeps like this.
And this...this could quite possibly be the worlds most perfect heart cupcake.
And it is calling your name....shhhh....can you hear it? Its begging to be devoured....

Scotch....errr... Scottish cupcakes.
The Scottish bark were scotch cupcakes.
The Chocolate bark were kid friendly cupcakes.
I was told they were wonderful!
I wouldn't know, because I am not a whiskey drinking girl...
But just let me know if you need some!

Whiskey drinkin', fly fishin, kind of guy....

Sunday, May 2, 2010

My friend Carrie asked me to make her husband some cupcakes for his birthday. She described him as a whiskey drinkin', fly fishin', hunting, Red Sox lovin' kind of guy. I ordered Red Sox baseball picks, but when they arrived, they looked like my two year old painted them, so I went with this theme instead.

A frustrated fisherman, with all his equipment floating in the water.....

Oh, and did I mention they are Chocolate Whiskey Cupcakes?
The blue frosted ones were kid friendly, but the chocolate....they were adults only.

I have an order for Chocolate Scotch cupcakes next weekend.....anyone else?

So darling you cannot believe they are eatible!
How cute is this little cherub?
Gumpaste babies on cupcakes....doesn't that just make you smile?

It should!
Here is one of the cupcakes from Andreas baby shower.

I can also make their hair different colors and lay them on a fondant blanket.
Pink or Blue....or both!
Your choice!

Sweet...sweet babies...

The presentation and reaction of these little cherub's are so worth all the work!

Have any baby showers coming up soon?

Hoppy Easter!!!

OK...so these are not my cupcakes...it's just what I am working on.
As soon as my candy arrives in the mail...
I just wanted you to have a preview of what you could be taking to your family Easter party.

Little bunnies scampering down their holes... Spring flowers in the grass...
.....the e mails are already coming in....don't miss out!

An Apple A Day.....

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

My dear friend Lori..(YO YO) has a bad back.
Today I made her some brownie pops to get her better.
An apple (POP) a day....keeps the doctor away!

My camera is on the fritz....not a great picture.
But....come on!!.....these would cheer up just about anyone!
It's time to order.......
Pay it forward........

Sesame Street Explosion

Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street?

I know....you almost NEED these brownie pops, huh?
Not just WANT....NEED them?

(idea and expression courtesy of Baker Ella)

Can't forget Cookie Monster!

Or.....Cookie Monsters cookies..

And then there is the Grouch.
He was my favorite....

I made these for Elmo and Oscar to eat later.
Only.....they were eaten at the birthday party so fast I couldn't save them.

Big Bird went to the party too...but he was not my favorite and I will be perfecting him in the near future.
Normally I reserve this blog just for cupcakes that I am selling, but this party was special.
So here is a picture of my "HEART" boy.
Happy Birthday and 2nd Anniversary buddy!

Valentine Chocolates anyone?

Thursday, February 4, 2010

Oh yeah....they are all cake. And a little frosting...and a little sugar...you get the idea.
Oh- right...and the box? Yes, it is all cake too. Heart shaped cake with a fondant covered "box". All eatible. All delicious.

To FILL or not to FILL?
Filling the cupcake adds more flavor and moistness to the cupcake itself.

Sometimes I would advise NOT to fill them, and other times I would advise chocolate or vanilla pudding, strawberry preserves, raspberry preserves, apricot, whip crème and sometimes cream cheese.

For those of you who are not a fan of frosting...this may be your thing! No need for frosting!

This usually equates to .25 cents per cupcake.

Order two dozen and only fill half!

We are CraZy like that!

TV Dinner Anyone?

How Stinkin' Cute is this?

On Tonights menu;
"Chicken on the Bone" (as my boys call it)
Mash Potatoes with butter and gravy, Peas and Carrots,Pudding for Dessert

I couldn't resist the close up of the mash potatoes and gravy (vanilla frosting with caramel sauce) I mean, really...just so much fun.
Do you know someone that needs cheering up?
I know that these little cupcakes would work...just e mail me! I'm "tech savvy" like that.

The Red Velvet

Wednesday, November 25, 2009

Ahhhh...Red Velvet. Classy, sexy, popular and delicious.
Red Velvet Milk Chocolate cake with Milk Chocolate Frosting garnished with candy hearts and chocolate sprinkles.
I have also made these for my aunts 60th birthday in which I frosted them with red frosting and added purple hats to the top. (For the "Red Hat Club")
The top Red Velvet I made for my heart sister. I added another smaller heart shaped cake on top of the creamy milk chocolate frosting. I can make them several different ways..we just need to discuss what you are using them for.
Red Velvet really is The Sweetest Thing.

The Raspberry...

The Raspberry...

Mouth watering raspberry cake with vanilla raspberry frosting. These are filled with raspberry filling and garnished with chocolate chards and one perfect raspberry. These are delectable. They are light and filled with scrumptious fruit. I can make them with any berry flavor. If you want it, I will make it.

These are "The Sweetest Thing's"

But not "too" sweet. (Is there such a thing?)

These are great for a Thank You gift...don't you have someone to thank?
